Mom started her search downstairs, asking the family husky where his sister was hiding. Levi just stayed stretched out on his living room mat.
The family had just moved into a new house, and the unfamiliar layout left their rescued dog, Smuckers, visibly unsettled. When she vanished from sight, Mom began checking the yard and front door to make sure she had not slipped outside into the neighborhood.
Upstairs, a cracked door revealed Smuckers lying quietly on the carpet between the twin cribs. When Mom called out softly, “Smuckers, come see mommy,” the pup merely thumped her tail, let out a soft whine, and stayed right where she was.
As reported by DogTime, the rescued pup had chosen the one room filled with her most familiar comforts. Even as evening fell, Smuckers remained beside the nursery couch, completely sound asleep.
