Corgi Fiona Reunites With Malamute Kili After a Year Apart
By Elena Rodriguez0
The driveway sprint still worked after twelve quiet months.
After more than a year apart, Fiona the Corgi spots Kili the Alaskan Malamute again. The sprint starts before anyone says a word.
A Tiny Neighbor and a Giant Wait Outside
Fiona used to leave the house and bolt for Kili’s driveway. Rain or shine, the Malamute was often waiting outside. “Fiona would consistently start sprinting towards Kili’s driveway whenever we would leave the house,” Fiona’s dad, Chris Equale, told The Dodo, as reported by iHeartDogs. “Kili starts wagging her tail when she sees Fiona coming over the hill.”
They practiced paw for treats, followed each other around the yard, and curled up for quiet cuddles. “They both just love each other,” Equale said.
A Year Away, Then the Same Sprint Back
A home emergency forced the Equale family to leave for repairs. Fiona lost those driveway visits for more than a year. When renovations were finally safe enough, they brought her back.
The reunion clip from @hammyandolivia shows the size gap and the same old excitement. Fiona races in. Kili answers with the familiar welcome. The caption is short: “This makes our hearts so full.”
Equale still marvels at how gentle the giant stays with her smaller friend. “They have a very good understanding of each other’s size, and they respect each other,” he said. “She is so massive, but her soul is so sweet and tender.”
The driveway visits are back — Fiona still sprints over the hill, and Kili still waits.
