Dog Takes Her Treat and Promptly Marches Out of the Room

Dog Takes Her Treat and Promptly Marches Out of the Room

Snack time apparently requires an official closed-door meeting.

Indigo stood on the wooden floor, focused entirely on the long orange treat in her human’s hand.

As soon as the chew was within reach, the speckled pup clamped it gently in her teeth, turned on the spot, and marched straight out of the room. There was no polite settling beside her mom and zero interest in sticking around to say thank you. As shared by her family on Instagram at @indigo_theheelerdog, snack time was strictly a private executive affair.

Taking the chew straight to her office

Overlay text on the video joked that Indigo was treating the handout like an office assignment: "Thanks, I’ll be in my office." Her mom doubled down in the caption, writing, "See ya in 3 to 5 business days." Indigo kept her head low and her stride purposeful, trotting across the floor to find a quiet, undisturbed corner where she could dismantle her prize in peace.

The playful clip resonated with dog lovers on DogTime who recognized the urgent need to protect valuable contraband:

"Funny because I have one that will take it and run off and the other destroys it at my feet!"
"Must hide and protect it."
"Delicious snacks are best enjoyed in solitude."
