Three inches of leg was never clearing that edge.
Pixie stands in the tub surrounded by soap bubbles while her mom holds the hand shower over her head.
Pixie, a miniature Dachshund whose daily antics are shared on Instagram by @pixie.the.mini, quickly decided that getting clean was strictly optional. Her attention immediately locked onto the slippery porcelain rim of the bathtub. She scrambled her front paws against the edge in an urgent bid to haul herself out, but puppy traction is hard to come by in soapy water, sending her sliding right back down to the bottom.
The pup refused to give up, digging in for a second attempt before losing her footing once more under the running water. But Dachshunds are famously persistent. On her third try, Pixie managed to get her tiny paws under herself and stand upright along the rim for a few precious seconds. Instead of a daring escape leap, she turned directly toward her mom, let out a pathetic little complaining whine, and delivered a gaze of pure, unfiltered betrayal.
Her mom captioned the clip wondering if rubber duckies might help change her mind, but fellow dog lovers knew no bath toy could fix that level of offense. As first reported by DogTime, the video racked up thousands of likes as viewers cheered on the tiny pup's dramatic bath-time protest.
Other dog lovers on Instagram rallied around Pixie's vocal bathtub critique:
For more stubborn Dachshund adventures and everyday pet humor, Pixie made it abundantly clear that while the rinse eventually finished, the grudge would take much longer to wash out.
