"just a little boy who needs his beauty rest"
On the gray quilted couch, Olly the Golden Retriever stretches one front paw toward dad and leaves it there. Not a random nudge for pets — the same quiet ask, night after night, until a familiar hand closes around it.
At @the_dude_olly, dad knows the drill. The moment the rubbing starts, Olly’s head dips, his eyes go heavy, and the rest of him softens into the cushions like someone flipped a switch. Mom films from the next seat while he melts in real time.
He is not fighting sleep. He is lining up the one bit of attention that knocks him out, and he is very clear about who is on paw duty. Watching him go under that fast, his people shared a wish a lot of tired humans will recognize: “we both wish we could fall asleep that fast.”
They also wrote the line that fits the drooping ears perfectly: “just a little boy who needs his beauty rest.” Tomorrow night, that same paw will probably be waiting in the same spot — appointment already booked.
