Pearl couldn't bear watching Violet get groomed without claiming her share of Mom's affection.
Mom sat on the living room floor with a brush in hand, gently working through Violet’s coat — until Pearl decided she simply wasn't having it.
The golden retriever sister wasn't content merely keeping tabs from across the rug. Trotting right into the middle of the salon session, Pearl planted herself beside them, stretched her neck out, and pressed her nose squarely into Mom’s cheek, demanding an immediate share of the spotlight.
A polite paw turns into an all-out cuddle ambush
As captured by @pearlthegoldenpup and reported by , Violet tried her best to remain a model patient, leaning back peacefully while the bristles stroked her back. But Pearl’s patience lasted only a few seconds. First came the sniffing inspection, then a gentle paw placed directly over Mom’s free hand. Pearl briefly sat back down and gave her head a tentative little shake as if trying to talk herself into waiting her turn. Then she abandoned all restraint and surged forward again, smothering Mom in affectionate nudges while Mom dissolved into helpless laughter.
