Ekko was following every word, right up until the plan stopped including him.
Ekko was curled up on the teal couch among the Halloween pumpkin blankets when his mom picked up a phone call that wasn't really a call. The plan was to drop his favorite words into the chat and see what happened. The first one was "park," and the dapple Dachshund's head swung sideways like it was on a hinge.
Then she wondered out loud whether Ekko even wanted to go. That was all it took. He was off the couch in one leap, and by the time she added that he seemed a little tired and might want to stay home, his mom had typed out exactly what he was thinking: "Heck no lady, I'm going!"
From there, it was a full campaign. He tore laps around the rug past the dog beds, then came back to plant his front paws on her leg, tilting harder with every word. When the car ride came up, the tilt nearly went horizontal, along with a plea she spelled out for him: "Oh, please please take me with you!"
Not even talk of a bath first slowed him down. "Head tilt king ๐พ," his mom wrote on @two.spotted.glizzys, where Ekko lives with Jasper, another dapple Dachshund, and Kuma the cat.
Followers felt the energy through the screen. "He's going to need a chiropractor ๐๐๐," one wrote, while another had only one concern: "you better have taken them out after this ๐ญ๐ญ๐คฃ." Wherever this family is headed, Ekko is going too.
