Daisy stands in the hallway holding a fresh pink blanket in her mouth, her tail wagging in a steady blur.
The store tags were still dangling from the hem, but the Golden Retriever had clearly already claimed it. In a clip shared by her owner, @notthatjenwagner on Instagram and reported by DogTime, Daisy parades down the hall with her new fleece clutched gently between her teeth.
From the hallway, Daisy trotted into the next room and made a beeline for her dog bed. She curled up with the fabric tucked close against her side. Even when her human leaned down for some gentle head pats, Daisy wasn't letting the blanket go.
“Daisy got a new pink blankie & it’s the only thing she treats like this,” her owner wrote.
Anyone who spends time around Golden Retrievers knows the urge to carry soft objects is practically hardwired into the breed. For Daisy, this fleece instantly graduated from ordinary household bedding to a personal treasure, bringing plenty of heartwarming charm to an everyday afternoon.
