Moosey the Cocker Spaniel Climbs Inside Washing Machine to 'Help' With Laundry

Moosey sat upright inside the drum of the washing machine, holding a white sock firmly in his mouth.

From there, the pup began sniffing through the laundry piled around him, thoroughly inspecting the drum to make sure every item met his standards. When his mom prepared to start a load of clothes, the English Cocker Spaniel chose not to sit on the sidelines. Instead, he climbed straight into the appliance to supervise the operation firsthand.

Promoting himself to head of housekeeping

Moosey appeared entirely convinced that his presence was essential to the chore. Clinging tightly to his prize sock, he looked around the washer with absolute pride, seemingly ready to direct the spin cycle himself. As reported by DogTime, his enthusiastic intervention did not exactly speed up chore day—mostly adding a few extra extraction steps before the door could actually shut.

Sharing the moment on @moosey_thecockerspaniel, his mom admitted that "nothing will get between this boy and his socks."

The internet crowns a new 'Socker Spaniel'

The clip struck a chord with dog owners everywhere who know the specific humor of trying to fold or wash anything with a curious four-legged supervisor in the room. Viewers quickly dubbed him an honorary "Socker Spaniel," pointing out that while laundry appliances are strictly human equipment, Moosey's dedication to quality control was undeniable.
