Blind Jindo Mix Plays Joyful Game of Chase With Sister Who Always Waits for Him

Leo lost his sight before rescue, but his sister Snoopy knows exactly how to pace their living room zoomies so he never gets left behind.

A blind Korean Jindo mix named Leo sprinted through his family’s home in a joyful game of tag with his dog sister, Snoopy, proving that patience and love make any playtime possible.

When playtime begins in Leo and Snoopy’s household, an ordinary living room instantly transforms into a high-speed adventure course. In a touching clip shared by their family on Instagram, Snoopy trots into the room carrying her favorite plush toy, her tail waving like a flag as she invites her brother to join in. Lounging on the carpet, Leo listens intently, his fluffy ears perking up at the squeak of the toy and the patter of his sister's paws.

With an eager stretch of his front paws, Leo scrambles to his feet and charges forward into a spirited chase.

What makes their bond so remarkable is Snoopy's gentle awareness. While she loves high-speed zoomies, she instinctively understands that Leo cannot see where she is headed. As she ducks down the hallway and circles into the next room, Snoopy repeatedly glances back and pauses at corners, giving Leo the moments he needs to orient himself by the sound of her breath, her collar, and the squeaker. The second he catches up, she darts forward again, keeping the game thrilling yet completely safe.

Their mom captured the sentiment that has touched thousands of viewers across social media:

Leo’s a little slower, but Snoopy waits for him to catch up.

The heartwarming clip struck an immediate chord with dog lovers, who fell in love with Snoopy’s considerate playstyle and Leo’s bouncy enthusiasm:

"What sweet pups."
"Sweet babies."
"He's so stinkin cute with his ears floppin."

Leo’s confidence today is a testament to how far he has come. Formerly named Sarang (the Korean word for love), the sweet Korean Jindo mix was rescued from the dog meat trade through Adopt Korean Rescue before finding his permanent family in North America. When veterinary specialists examined him, they discovered severe, untreated trauma and chronic inflammation that had permanently taken his sight.

Instead of letting his blindness hold him back, Leo's adopters helped him construct a sensory map of his surroundings. Small tactile rugs placed strategically near staircases and entryways serve as tactile guideposts, letting him know exactly where room boundaries begin.

Canine behaviorists note that blind dogs rely heavily on mental mapping, ambient acoustics, and floor transitions to move confidently. When paired with an attentive sibling dog who provides audio "breadcrumbs" through squeaky toys and steady footfalls, a visually impaired pet can enjoy all the athletic exuberance of any seeing dog. Scent enrichment games and trick training further strengthen their spatial problem-solving skills.

For this resilient rescue pup, living with permanent vision loss has never meant missing out on the simple joys of life. Surrounded by patience, environmental structure, and a devoted sister who always slows her pace so they can stay side by side, Leo’s days are filled with pure heartwarming fun.
