Blind Jindo Mix Plays Heartwarming Game of Chase as His Sister Patiently Guides the Way

Rescued pup Leo can’t see, but his devoted sister Snoopy knows exactly how to slow down so they can play tag together.

A blind Jindo mix named Leo sprinted through the house in a joyful game of tag with his sister Snoopy, whose thoughtful pauses ensured her visually impaired brother never fell behind.

Playtime between canine siblings is often a whirlwind of tumbling paws and mock pounces, but inside one loving household, a game of chase looks a little different—and infinitely more tender. Meet Leo, a fluffy white Korean Jindo mix who has completely lost his vision, and his spotted sister, Snoopy.

Despite living in total darkness, Leo doesn’t let his visual impairment sideline him from everyday puppy fun. In a viral clip shared on Instagram by their family at

, the two pups turned an ordinary evening into an inspiring demonstration of patience, intuition, and mutual trust, as reported by DogTime.

The heartwarming footage begins with Snoopy grabbing a soft, squeaky plush toy in her mouth and scampering out of the bedroom. With their mom cheering them on from the living room, Leo perks up his ears, locks onto the rhythmic patter of Snoopy’s footsteps across the hardwood floor, and eagerly gives chase.

Whenever Leo needs an extra second to navigate around corners, Snoopy doesn’t leave him in the dust. Instead, she trots into the living room, hops onto a comfy dog bed, and patiently stands by until Leo catches up to inspect the toy. The moment he taps in, she dashes back down the hallway, creating an endless, joyful loop of gentle tag.

"What sweet pups."
"Sweet babies."
"HE’S SO STINKIN CUTEEEEEEEE WITH HIS EARS FLOPPIN."

Leo’s a little slower, but Snoopy waits for him to catch up.

The pair's devoted pet parents explained that Snoopy has always treasured her toys and loved challenging her humans to playful games of keep-away. Having Leo join the family gave her a partner who genuinely wanted to play along at her side. Snoopy instinctively understood Leo's unique needs, modifying her speed so her brother could experience the thrill of the chase.

Leo's playful resilience is even more poignant given where his journey began. Originally named Sarang, Leo was rescued from a dog meat market and slaughterhouse in South Korea through Adopt Korean Rescue, a rescue group that transports vulnerable dogs to safe homes across Canada and the United States.

Following his rescue, veterinarians determined that severe, untreated eye trauma and chronic inflammation had caused irreversible blindness. While the trauma could have easily made him fearful or withdrawn, Leo’s spirit remained bright. Once settled into his permanent home, he quickly mastered his indoor environment using scent, sound, and touch.

How Blind Dogs Navigate Play and Exploration

Caring for a sight-impaired dog often reveals just how extraordinary a dog's secondary senses truly are. Rather than relying on sight, visually impaired dogs create dynamic acoustic and mental maps of their environment.

To help Leo move securely through the house, his family placed textured rugs and tactile mats at key transitional zones, such as the base of staircases and entryways. These mats serve as physical navigational anchors, letting Leo know exactly where he is so he can romp freely without colliding with furniture or walls.

Interactive scent tracking, squeaky toy games, and learning voice-command tricks also provide vital mental enrichment that builds confidence. When paired with a supportive sibling like Snoopy who offers consistent auditory cues, visually impaired dogs can enjoy rich, active lives filled with genuine fun.
