Golden Retriever Spots His Dropped Leash Mid-Walk and Decides to Carry It Himself

Zebby’s mom dropped his leash on the sidewalk and kept walking. The Golden Retriever stopped dead in his tracks and stared down at the handle.

Mom kept the camera pointed back at him from a few paces ahead, but Zebby refused to budge. He looked down at the abandoned leash, looked up at his retreating human, and froze in total disbelief. The standoff only broke when Mom finally ended the prank, calling out, “Okay buddy, c’mon.” Relieved that rules were back in place, Zebby didn't just trot over—he clamped the leash handle firmly between his teeth and bounded forward, proudly walking himself the rest of the way.
