“Do you want your toy back?” their mom asked.
Diesel, a wooly Alaskan Malamute known to fans as @bigdieselthemal, was sitting on the carpet looking thoroughly wronged. His furry sister Bella had taken hold of his treasured plush toy, and Diesel made it abundantly clear that household property rules were being openly violated.
As Diesel stared at the camera with wide, betrayed eyes, their mom stepped in to broker peace. Bella, however, was not giving up the plush without a struggle. She clamped down firmly with her jaws, forcing their mom to repeat “drop it” twice before she finally managed to retrieve the toy.
The moment the stuffy was freed, Diesel wasted zero time snatching it straight back into his mouth, making sure everyone in the room understood that justice had prevailed. The family later shared on DogTime that the big fluffball simply wanted the world to know “that was HIS toy.”
Viewers on Instagram quickly rallied behind the dramatic pup in the comments:
Alaskan Malamutes are famous for their oversized personalities and dramatic opinions, but Diesel proved that sometimes an unblinking, wounded side-eye delivers the message loud and clear. Fans of sibling pet humor can relate to the golden rule of multi-dog households: whichever toy the other dog is holding is instantly the most valuable object on earth.
