Rescuer Nurses Abandoned Newborn Albino Puppy Through Round-the-Clock Critical Care

He was tiny as a hamster, but he was not giving up.
Clanay Reza heard faint wailing coming from her neighbor's yard. Behind the fence lay a litter of puppies less than a day old, abandoned in the grass.
The newborn litter had been dumped by a backyard breeder who fled after realizing the puppies were severely ill. When Clanay stepped in to help, the puppies were unimaginably tiny. She recalled that the pups looked more like hamsters than newborn dogs, and the smallest of them all was a fragile albino puppy she named Lucky.
Tragically, Lucky’s littermates did not survive their first few days. As the runt of the litter, Lucky faced immense odds, yet every time Clanay offered nourishment, the little pup rallied with remarkable grit.
Syringes and round-the-clock feedings keep the tiny runt fighting
Clanay alternated between feeding syringes and small bottles, coaxing nutrients into Lucky every few hours. Day by day, the tiny pup held on, and by two weeks old, he was still fighting for every breath. When he finally opened his eyes, Clanay knew he was determined to stay.
As The Dodo documented in their Little But Fierce series, Lucky’s road to recovery came with unique hurdles. He was born blind in his right eye, which later developed an ulcer requiring surgery when he was four months old, and his delicate albino skin meant he needed special care around bright sunlight. DNA results later revealed that the tiny white pup was an eclectic Mixed Breed, blending Pekingese, Chihuahua, Yorkie, Pomeranian, and Shih Tzu heritage.
The fragile pup grows into a joyful forever companion
What started as emergency foster care turned into a permanent adoption and an unbreakable lifelong bond, as reported by iHeartDogs. Clanay officially adopted Lucky, sharing his milestones with dog lovers worldwide through @luckysecondchanceatlife_.
His journey quickly became a beacon of hope for rescue advocates everywhere, proving that even the most fragile pup can thrive when met with patient, dedicated love.
