Belgian Malinois Swipes Baby Brother’s Pacifier to Reclaim His Chew-Toy Rights

Rogue the Malinois decides it’s payback time after his tiny human keeps raiding his toy basket.

Rogue dropped his front paws onto the woven rug, locked eyes with his crawling baby brother, and clamped down tight on the tiny rubber pacifier.

As Mom watched from across the living room, the energetic Belgian Malinois showed zero intention of giving up his new treasure. Instead, he sprang backward into a low play bow, daring the baby to make a move.

A victory lap for stolen rubber

The standoff, shared to Instagram by @itsroguepup and reported by DogTime, captures the hilarious sibling dynamic between the pup and his family's newest addition. While the baby crawled methodically across the floor in tiny, determined bursts, Rogue paraded around the living room, tossing his head and spinning in triumphant circles with the yellow soother firmly wedged between his teeth.

When Mom jokingly asked if he was the baby now, Rogue danced in place as if confirming the promotion. The baby seemed entirely unfazed by the heist, pausing mid-crawl to watch his four-legged brother perform an impromptu victory dance.

Running away before the little brother retaliates

The lighthearted heist was not just random mischief — it was playful revenge. In the caption, Rogue’s mom explained that their household toy politics had grown lopsided, writing that her infant son frequently raids the Malinois's own basket: “He takes my chew toys! Just taking what’s rightfully mine.”

Belgian Malinois handlers know how intensely oral the breed can be; high-drive working dogs often use toys as self-soothing tools, carrying them like pacifiers to regulate excitement and burn excess focus. But once Mom warned Rogue that his little brother was closing the gap and coming to collect, the pup didn't stick around to debate ownership. Grabbing the binky tight, he bolted into the next room to keep his prize out of tiny hands, proving that humor and sibling rivalry look much the same whether you have two legs or four.
